Best Africa travel memory: My most memorable travel experience in Africa comes from being on safari and seeing the continent’s incredible wildlife in its natural environment. There’s something unforgettable about the stillness of the bush, the early‑morning game drives, and the feeling of being surrounded by nature at its purest. It’s a moment that continues to inspire my love for exploring Africa.

Favourite African destination: Of all the places I’ve visited, the Garden Route remains my favourite. I’m drawn to its mix of coastal beauty, forest landscapes, and easy‑going adventure. Whether I’m driving along its scenic stretches, discovering small towns, or enjoying time outdoors, the Garden Route always feels like the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration.

Bucket list destination/next trip: Zimbabwe is next on my list, and I’m excited to experience its natural wonders and unique culture. From the powerful Victoria Falls to its wildlife‑rich national parks, I’m looking forward to discovering what makes Zimbabwe such a remarkable destination.

Best Africa Travel Memory: Has to be my first ever travel memory, my parents took us to the Kruger when I was 6 years old.
I will never forget the feeling of utter awe when I woke up to Giraffes & Ellies on our doorstep.

Favourite African Destination: All them! So hard to pick a favourite when the each country on the continent has something special and beautiful to visit and there’s still so much I have yet to see.
If I have to pick from the places I have been lucky enough to visit, I’d say Kenya – there’s just something magical about the Mara and it’s sunsets that stole my heart.

Bucket List Destination: My dream and goal is to see as much of the world as I possibly can in my lifetime. Perhaps the next adventure in Africa takes me trekking with the Gorilla’s in Rwanda or enjoying a sunset on one of the Islands.

Best Africa travel memory: All of them! But if I had to choose.. It would be trekking through the thick bamboo forests in Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda and experiencing the Mountain Gorillas up close. Watching how these gentle giants interact as a family in their natural habitat was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Favourite African destination: Botswana, the Okavango Delta is heaven on Earth.

Bucket list destination/next trip: The pristine blue waters of Lake Malawi!

Best Africa travel memory: My family and I visited Africa in 2015. Higlights of our trip were: Elephant interaction & interaction with Sylvester the Cheetah at Elephant Camp, seeing Victoria Falls ("the smoke that thunders"), relaxing on the Chobe Princess (it was called Ichobezi Houseboat then) & game drives in Chobe National Park

Favourite African destination: Chobe National Park, Botswana

Bucket list destination/next trip: I would love to see the Wildebeest Migration in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania or relax on a beach in Zanzibar.

Best Africa travel memory: This is such a hard one because I have so many! Staying at The Farmstead at Royal Malewane is definitely one of my favourites. I had never experienced that kind of luxury before, and the game drives were amazing. I would honestly go back in a heartbeat! I also loved my stay at Jaci’s in Madikwe. There’s just something about safari that makes me so happy. Waking up in the bush, going on game drives and never knowing what you might see that day... I just love it!

Favourite African destination: As much as I love safari, I have to say Cape Town! I try to go at least once a year, even if my excuse is running 21 km! There’s just something about Cape Town that I never get tired of. The mountains, the ocean, the views, the sunsets... I could go back over and over again and still love it just as much.

Bucket list destination/next trip: I’ve been lucky enough to visit Botswana and stay in Chobe, but I still really want to experience the Okavango Delta. The Serengeti is also very high on my list, especially to see the Great Migration. And then, of course, the Maldives! I need to experience that turquoise water and an overwater villa at least once in my life

Best Africa travel memory: My best Africa travel memory is driving along the Garden Route, enjoying the beautiful ocean views, forests, and small coastal towns. The trip ended with a safari, where I experienced the peace of the bush and saw wildlife up close. The mix of the coast and a safari made the journey truly special and unforgettable for me.

Favourite African destination: Other than South Africa, it will have to be Botswana. It’s truly magical from the untouched wilderness to the incredible wildlife and peaceful landscapes, it’s a place that feels wild, authentic, and unforgettable.

Bucket list destination/next trip: Seychelles, with its crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and relaxed island atmosphere, it’s the ultimate dream escape for me.

What is your best Africa travel memory: My most special Africa travel memory is visiting Cape Town and seeing the ocean for the very first time. It was an unforgettable moment, made even more memorable by Cape Town’s incredible scenery and natural beauty.

Favourite Africa destination: Cape Town will always be a favourite. From its beautiful beaches and breathtaking mountain scenery to its vibrant culture and atmosphere, there is something truly special about the city.

Bucket list destination: Zimbabwe and Zambia are at the top of my bucket list. I would love to experience the magnificent Victoria Falls, explore the beautiful landscapes, and discover the incredible wildlife and safari experiences both countries have to offer.

Best Africa Travel Memory: One of my most magical African moments was at Singita Lebombo, perched on a ridge at sunset with a perfectly prepared G&T in hand, watching millions of quelea swirl and dance through the sky in mesmerising formations before settling into the trees. But it was the sound of their collective song, and even the feeling of the air moving as thousands of tiny wings fluttered around us, that made it truly magical. It was pure Africa and a memory I’ll never forget. (And yes, the G&T definitely added to the experience!)

Favourite African Destination: Namibia has a little piece of my soul. I love its vastness, huge skies, incredible stars and wonderfully wild sense of being nowhere. It is a place that makes you slow down, breathe deeply and simply take it all in. I believe it calls you when you are ready to experience her. But when it comes to game viewing, nothing quite beats a safari in Tanzania’s Serengeti. The sheer scale, the wildlife and the sense that anything could happen around the next corner make it utterly addictive.

Bucket List Destination: Uganda is calling! Gorillas, chimpanzees and the source of the Nile – it has adventure written all over it. I’m just looking for a good excuse to pack my bags and go!

Best Africa Travel Memory: My best Africa travel memory is of the Panorama route. More specifically, God’s Window….oh what a gem of a destination. Driving through the hills & seeing the majestic nature views of the route was absolutely amazing.

Favourite African Destination: South Africa will always be my favourite African destination even though not fully explored. From a nature-lover perspective, South Africa has a lot to offer from lovely panoramic landscapes, safaris to authentic cultural history.

Bucket List Destination: Kruger National Park, Zanzibar, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia.

What is your best Africa travel memory: Canoeing on the Zambezi River with hippos and crocodiles around us! It was definitely a little scary, but also such an exciting experience and one I’ll never forget.

Favourite Africa destination: Namibia, especially Sossusvlei. The landscapes are absolutely beautiful and there’s just something so special about being surrounded by those huge red dunes and endless desert.

Bucket list destination: East Africa! I would absolutely love to see the Great Migration one day. Seeing thousands of animals moving across the Serengeti and Masai Mara would be such an incredible experience.
